We at JMH admire our partners in the hospitality industry who continue to work & serve despite these trying times. While restaurants and cafés in Melbourne can serve takeaway only, a reminder to our partners to stay well and stay safe during the COVID 19 pandemic.
There are permitted industries still allowed to operate in regional Victoria as listed here. These employers can issue worker permits for your employees to travel to work. Take note of these reminders to avoid penalties in issuing workers permit.
1. Fill up the COVID worker permit which can be downloaded Victorian Government site here. Listed below are the details you will need for the form:
2. An authorized person from the company should sign the worker permit.
3. The employee should always carry the permit when traveling. Make sure to have an electronic copy of your permit saved in your devices.
Failure to comply will result to penalties amounting to 99,132 for businesses and $19,826 for individuals. See the complete announcement and spot-fines of the Victorian Government on the Permitted Worker Scheme in this link: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/permitted-worker-scheme-covid-19
